Early History of Area Fur Trading

Ms. Erickson will discuss the new Museum exhibit “Voyagers.” She will explain in detail the early history of the Great Lakes Fur Trade Era (1600s-early 1800s) and detail the hardships, lifestyles, demands and rewards of this unique time in history. Listen in awe to Kristie describe months long journeys from France to the Great Lakes for trappers to claim their goods to sell to fur companies. This will be an enlightening and educational program for all ages. Bring a friend!
